We asked parents and family members why they chose CLO to serve their loved one.

Milt and Norma Peine:

"We wanted to keep our son, Steve, in the community, close to us. We were encouraged by the great work of the Pelot family and other parents who founded CLO, so we chose CLO back in 1983. It was difficult at first to have someone else take care of Steve, but it's been a blessing. He has become more independent and likes being active. He enjoys people. He has had more desire to do things on his own."

Rosie Rogers, who has been a teaching counselor at CLO for almost 10
years, said this when asked what motivates her to stay in her job at CLO:

"CLO serves such a great bunch of men and women. They capture your heart
and you can't let go, for you see, they become part of your life and family.
What motivates me is knowing that I can make a difference in their lives,
and when I see the smiles on their faces and receive their hugs and
handshakes, I feel honored to be part of CLO."
